Rose Corsage

Making corsages with roses is so much fun because there is such a wide variety of colors to choose from! Jade green, deep violet blues, wine reds and vibrant oranges are just a few of the selection available from many different growers.

When your dry pack roses come, you will find the out rose petals left on. These were left at the time of harvest to protect the delicate, inner petals. Remove these at the time of designing until you get down to the unblemished rose petals. Be sure to cut under water and use a rehydrator so the flowers have fast uptake of water to the flower head right after cutting and processing.

Using corsage picks will keep your design fresh longer, since it provides an actual water source to the flowers. Be sure to check out all the fresh floral products available in our store.

These are usually only available to professional florists - but you can now have the same products to keep your bulk wedding flowers fresh!

This awesome flower design has been created on a elastic wristlet band. With pink freesia, light pink spray roses and miniature carnations, this a perfect design that can be created much faster by using Oasis Floral Adhesive instead of traditional wiring and taping.

Freesia and sweetheart roses make a pretty corsage.

White sweetheart roses and pink alstroemeria can also be glued in quickly with the ribbon of your choice. Using wired ribbon is easier to work with, because it holds it's shape even with being handled.

Hot pink Nerine lilies make a startling contrast to a brilliant orange rose. This was glued to a corsage band quickly with floral adhesive.

Delicate ming fern and seeded euclyptus make this miniature rose corsage striking. Add some interest with colored bullion wire for instant "pizzaz"!

Bullion wire also makes this design more interesting by twisting around the ribbon and finishing the tips with a faceted jewelry bead. A few coils around the bottom stem keeps the ribbon wrap secure as well.

It's amazing how beautiful a simple rose and hypericum berries can be with the addition of a little bling bling!
