Description

Oasis Foam Bricks

This is the same OASIS florist foam used by most professional florists. Each brick holds up to two quarts of water – keeping your wedding flowers as fresh as possible. Always soak the foam in water mixed with professional flower food. Allow each brick to sink in the water rather than forcing it down. This will eliminate dry spots in the floral foam. Available in three densities to accommodate different types of flowers and your design needs.

Brick measures 3" x 4" x 9" and is scored at 1/2 and 1/3.

Ideas for Inexpensive Centerpieces

If you really want to go the cheapest route for creating cheap centerpieces (that are still very beautiful!) then do what florists do every day in their shops - buy Oasis by the brick and cut to fit economy containers. Don't think that for a round bowl you have to have a round brick of Oasis. The brick is scored into thirds and is made to fit perfectly into a round economy container.

This arrangement looks expensive, but done in a round economy container and using flowers such as alstroemeria and heather as showns keeps this sweet arrangement well within most any DIY budget!

Using interesting greens with a few Jade roses in a cheap container makes this centerpiece delightful - yet economical!

For the longer centerpiece, 2/3 of a brick is usually sufficient.

DON'T ECONOMIZE BY CUTTING TINY PIECES! The Oasis foam is the lifeblood of your flowers, providing a water source. A small brick of Oasis can only support so many flowers. Fill your container as full as it will hold of the Oasis to ensure maximum life for your wedding centerpiece.

With the longer bowl, you can have plenty of flowers and room for candles! If your container peeks out from underneath, the glossy silver or gold finish still looks very dressy on your reception tables.

Carnations and gladiolus blooms are very inexpensive - but look how beautiful they are in a long economy container!

Although this looks like an expensive brass bowl, it's actually plastic covered with a gold finish. Lightweight and economical to ship, you'll want to let these containers show! Be sure to cut the Oasis a couple of inches taller than the top edge of the bowl, so your centerpiece can have laterals out to the sides and not just straight up.

These type of containers also come in a silver finish.
